HEY, I'M ANGE!
This is a bit about me as your coach, but everything ties back to you and seeing if we are a good fit for each other!

I’m a lover of life, Marine Corps (reserve) Officer, wife to a Marine Corps Officer, and mom to 4 littles, and bonus mom to 2 little(ish)s.
I grew up in a rural area with 2 stop lights in the town and was a mini mama as the oldest of 5 kids in our family. I liked organizing the pretend foods at FunLand for fun, walking barefoot in the freshly cut grass during the summer, and getting in to the simple joys (and challenges) of small town living where everyone knows everyone. I have “busy feet" aka it is hard for me to sit and watch tv because I have so much on my mind to do, so I like to listen to lots of genres, but my favorite artist is Taylor Swift. Not a full-on Swiftie, but a mini Swiftie.
I went on to graduate from the United States Naval Academy where I made lifelong friendships, played women’s rugby, and tap danced the line of being “squared away” versus getting in to shenanigans. Upon graduation, I commissioned as a United States Marine Corps officer with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and have served nearly 1 decade on active duty where I have had the privilege to lead some incredible Marines and Sailors throughout the world. During this period, I burned some midnight oil with a few less binge-sessions of Netflix, and focused some of my free time to earn my Master of Arts in Public Policy from Liberty University. I LOVE Zumba and also became a Zumba and STRONG by Zumba instructor. Imagine some of the clutched pearls when Marines realized the “ma’am” was in to Zumba?? People are my passion and I am a Society for Human Resource Management-Senior Certified Professional and a certified Executive Coach.
As a Marine Corps Officer (especially a black female), I know the feeling of all eyes on you, constant internal and external pressure, 24/7 on-call, middle of the night worries about work or your people and trying to balance it all. I have experienced burn-out, panic attacks, postpartum depression, anxiety, confusion, and fear over it all. I worked so hard and have done so much, so why isn’t it making sense? I also know how it feels to love the challenge, want to do more and be more, get things across the goal line, and support people win. It can be lonely, stressful, and confusing in a leadership position.
As a mom, I have birthed 4 wonderful (and busy!) kids (2 girls, and a boy/girl twin set) despite infertility challenges (likely due to stress!) and gotten to be part of my bonus (step) kids’ life. I love being a mama, but it can also feel exhausting when they are little, and you also have other irons in the fire. And amongst all of that, still investing to thrive in our marriage when both of us have military careers. I have also had a "practice" marriage (aka divorce) and grew so much from it.
When I am not running around, I enjoy making memories with family and friends and focusing on being present and staying connected. I love getting outside in the fresh air and sun and checking out whatever area I am in has to offer during the season (moving around in the military encourages exploration and appreciation of making the best of where you are). Speaking of seasons, I am 100% a season’s gal. (Where is my PSL? Where are my boots and leggings? When can I head to the lake with a sparkly water to hang out? How soon is it acceptable to put up my winter holiday décor?)
As cheesy as it might sound, I love helping people become the best versions of themselves. I draw upon my life experiences, career experiences, education and certifications, ability to connect, and love of being a lifelong learner to bring a killer package to the table for you as your coach. I promise that partnering with me as your coach will be a fun and wild ride full of authenticity, commitment, and growth. I look forward to connecting with you!
